Havana.- India hosted the presentation of a new Cuban drug made of the poison of a species of scorpion endemic to the Caribbean island.The drug, called Vidatox, has proved to be very effective as antitumor, analgesic and anti-inflammatory.Those properties were confirmed during a 15-year-long research on the toxin of the scorpion.
According to experts, the drug has been administered to cancer patients and has improved their quality of life.In addition, it contributes significantly to the effectiveness of traditional oncologic therapies on cancer patients who were treated with Vidatox.
