The Specialty Hospital in Amman, Jordan is the pioneering private teaching hospital, delivering a full range of high quality diagnostic and therapeutic services using state of the art technology. The Specialty Hospital’s official inauguration was in 1993, and originally started with a capacity of 88 beds.


As a result of the continuous development, superior reputation, and distinguished medical achievements, the hospital received a huge numbers of patients, necessitating the growth of the bed capacity to 250 beds.

In this expansion of the hospital, we combined the best medical services and the best hospitality services with a chic decor that provides our patients with the feel of a luxury resort during their hospital stay.


The hospital took into consideration its mission: highest quality comprehensive healthcare services in safe well managed facility for patients from all over the globe while providing a true value in cost. This vision has been the driving force behind the continual improvement of the hospital’s services.

The Specialty Hospital is equipped with high satellite transmission that is designed to meet the needs of the patients who come from any country, offering wireless internet connection in all rooms and throughout the facility to make the stay of the patient as convenient as possible.


We have over 850 staff members, a number that was increased due to the high demand from patients. Our personnel who work with patients are bilingual as a minimum requirement.


The Specialty Hospital staff is committed to implementing infection prevention and control standards according to the latest updates of the CDC and World Health Organization guidelines. The hospital also sought to be certified in ISO 9001:2000.    It was the first hospital in the country to achieve the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points Certificate (HACCP), which is mainly related to ensure that the provided catering services for patients is up to the highest quality standards in the world.

The Specialty Hospital is also the first hospital in Jordan to be certified as operating in an environmentally sustainable manner through the ISO 14001. Another important achievement was (Occupational Health and Safety Zone) OHSAS 18001, the standards of this certificate helped the hospital increase its safety to the maximum.


The Specialty Hospital is considered to be the first hospital in the region to obtain the Muslims Excellence and Competitiveness Corporations Award (MECCA Award) for excellence.

Mr. Abu Sneineh is the International Marketing Coordinator in the Specialty Hospital. He has been a part of The Specialty Hospital since 2003 and has experience in different positions including Human Resources Management, Patients’ Affairs Management and is currently International Marketing Coordinator.  In addition to his work in The Specialty Hospital, Mr. Abu Sneineh is a member of the Volunteer Team of the Private Hospitals Association, where he generates strategies to internationally market the Jordanian hospitals and the country of Jordan as a viable destination for medical tourism. Through his career, Mr. Abu Sneineh has gained vast experience in the Quality Field and in implementing quality standards from several accreditation bodies such as the Joint Commission International and the Health Care Accreditation Council, in addition to excellence awards like the King Abdullah Award for Excellence.
