Medical Tourism Healthcare Leadership Awards to be Announced in Chicago October 25-28, 2011

West Palm Beach, FLORIDA: July 22, 2011. The Medical Tourism Association (Global Healthcare Association) will be awarding a select group of leaders in international healthcare whose achievements have enhanced and brought innovation to the International Healthcare Industry and excelled at providing international healthcare quality and international patients services.

These Leaders have contributed to the growth of delivering high quality and transparent pricing for patients traveling for healthcare. The awards will be presented at the 4th World Medical Tourism & Global Healthcare Congress held in Chicago, October 25-28, 2011. Nominees will be reviewed and chosen by an independent committee of industry participants. The award must be accepted in person by the recipient at the conference.

This award recognizes Leaders in the industry for providing an exemplary program or innovation consistent with the vision of the Medical Tourism Association's goal to advance medical tourism through education and communication. Awardees will be recognized for their efforts in engaging others, promoting proven strategies, effectuating best practices and procedures, and advocating the need to ensure high quality healthcare at affordable and transparent pricing. The Awards honor an individual, government or organization whose accomplishments embody such qualities.

Renée-Marie Stephano, President of the Medical Tourism Association said, We believe it is important that the MTA provides international recognition and overall credibility to these Leaders who raise the bar for effectiveness in leading our industry.

The decisions of each judging panel will be based upon a specific criteria established for each category and determined by the panel with proven expertise in their respective fields. To identify those individuals and organizations which have excelled in the implementation and delivery of international healthcare services, the Categories for the Awards will be:
